Luke 22:35–53 "When God Says No"

No one likes to be told no, but sometimes our heavenly Father gives us this very answer. In this topical message on the problem of "no answers" from God, we recognize that even Jesus received a no-answer from his Father. The passage before us today is the account of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane on the night before his crucifixion, asking for "the cup" to pass from him. And the particular request that he makes is denied. This teaches us not only that God saying No is a common experience in the Christian life, but that it is not for no reason. Through his no-answers, God is doing more than we can imagine.
